I like the slots myself. I would run them. LockDoc |
Re: another project i dont really need
The 72 I just bought has the same slot mags and I told the previous owner that they would be the first thing to go.

Re: another project i dont really need
Myself I'd prefer the slots to anything over 16 inches. They fit the age of the truck and have a clean look to them. I would go with a proper set of black wall tires with them though.
All I can say about the truck is that is a way more ambitious project than I want to tackle but we are rather spoiled by the condition of trucks that age around here. |
Re: another project i dont really need

Re: another project i dont really need
Looks like it will be alot nicer than what it was, do you plan on shaving the firewall or just cleaning it up a bit??
|
Re: another project i dont really need
just going to clean it up and put it back together, but then you know how that goes, things always change at the last minute. thinking about leaving the inside white with buckets and center console, just not sure on the outside
will have the m/t out this weekend and start cleaning up the almost 40 yrs of grease and road grime off the front and rear suspension and frame |
Re: another project i dont really need
got the bed off today, wire brushed the frame down and gave it a coat of black hammerite paint
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...a/SANY1385.jpg Po didnt do a real good job onthe cab corners, being there was enough to work with i cut the drivers side off, trimmed it down and have back in place with sheetmetal screws http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...SANY1387-1.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...SANY1388-1.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...SANY1390-1.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...SANY1393-1.jpg |
Re: another project i dont really need
What kind of bucket seat was in that bed? Nice score!
|
Re: another project i dont really need
bucket seat was junk , believe it was out of a 60-70's car
got alittle done today on the truck, other cab corner trimed down and screwed in place http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...a/SANY1397.jpg figured before i get to involved with cab repairs i better get the windshield out, it looks good around the opening http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...SANY1398-1.jpg the stainless trim around the wimdow was a pain to get off its NOTgoing back on i can tell you that http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...SANY1404-1.jpg also did alittle sanding and primering http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...SANY1400-1.jpg |
