Lifting a 1-ton

OK, I think I could order Superlift's 6-inch lift kit (K462), but can anyone confirm that for a 1978 Chevy 1-ton Crew-Cab Pick-up w/350 auto? Also, what if I want to go higher? Can I do a body lift? What about add-a-leafs in addition to the 6-inch kit? What about steerinf geometry? How do you guys do it anyway? :chevy:

so your lifting a 1 ton, well lets see , i got one of those ill share my expierience. you want to go 6 inch? if thats the case steering geo is not a big deal, put the steering arm riser in and your set. As far as springs and such, i have 6 inch springs from a blazer w/2 inch add a leaf up front, handles the weight of the crew cab diesel just fine, in the rear i got offroad design shakle reversal, and a 4 inch block, i know i know blocks are bad, but this is just temp, while i gather everything for the 12 inch lift. Anymore ?'s let me know im glad to help!
heres mine, 8 inches w/38.5x11 boggers
