my friend ike is making a... well i dont really know what to call it. he wants it to be ugly. lol its not gonna get any fenders or body parts on the front end. things are slow on them right now because of money, but were fixin to start workin on it again.

I think your buddy is onto something with the way he converted the top and cut the A-pillars. Very aesthetically pleasing. With that said, in my opinion here, I think the fenderless approach would be a mistake. The truckster rendering looks good, but the amount of metal-work to achieve that look is immense. Run this through your mind's eye; Lower it over white-wall (or even black-wall or pin-white) tires and chrome-reversed rims. Add a tuck and roll, bucket seat interior and some Candy paint over a metalflake base. Or, as I might be inclined to do, a white paintjob with a pearl over the top and some pinstriped accents. A short-stepside bed with the upper portion above the fenders being modified with tubing and sheet-metal work (refer to the Barris truck, Kopper Kart). Add some Lakes pipes, a kustom grille and rear facade, and you have a show stopping, early sixties styled Kustom truck that could be done on the very cheap. That's where that cut-off top took my imagination, but it's just my two cents.

thats a great idea and if it was me i would do it like that. he wants to go for the "ugly" look... lmao he says when its done it wont look much different than it does now. thats all fine and good but i like your idea better. ill pass it on and see what he thinks.

I Like the cuts on that alot. If he doesn't go for that idea, I think I might!!! I have a couple of wrap window cabs and a couple of stepside beds laying around. Time to fire up the tools and the imagination!
