Re: Firewall gromet?

I'm not sure that the firewall boot for power brakes is readily available. A few months ago Wes from Classic Heartbeat had a few left and was waiting for a manufacturer to come through with a repop. He posted on 7/15/11 that it should be available in November.I don't know if other vendors have been able to come up with some or had some originals left. According to Wes, they were made by GM and they stopped making them. He got in touch with an aftermarket manufacturer about making repops. In regards to a grommet kit, the truck shop has a kit for the firewall and some individuals. It doesn't include the brake rod boot (or clutch rod boot if a stick).

Hust a little update for you guys. We just received word from out manufacturer about our the brake rod boot everybody is waiting on. We have pushed and pushed on the developement of these to get them to market as soon as possible. We have now been given a tennative date of 10/24/11 that we should have a few hundred of them here. Another month delay, but that is the way these things seem to go when you are not a large company spending millions with them. I see that some of you guys are looking for the firewall grommets. We have been producing those for over a year now.
