Control Arms are done
Damn, the thread I had started went to archive, oh well. Anyways I finally finished my control arms; I just got them back from the powder coater today. I don’t have pictures yet but I’ll have some tomorrow. I’m hoping to get it all back together by the weekend so I can finally drive it again (it’s only been 4 ½ months).
Someone had asked me about weight compared to the stock arms, the lowers are 2 pounds less and weigh 17 lbs, and the uppers are 1 ½ pounds less and weigh 14 ½ pounds. |

Re: Control Arms are done
About $150 for both sets. Not counting the jigs, probably another $75 for them.

Are those stock geometery?I recall a member here built a jig using stock arms and was going to build his own tubulars from that. That was some time ago though and I never saw the final outcome. They look great!

Re: Control Arms are done
Yeah that was probably me, I started these months ago. The arms are set for stock with springs. I’m hoping to get them on tomorrow, I started out today putting on a new power steering pump and had to replace a lot more, so I’ll be looking to get started sometime in the after noon or so.
Let me try these out for a while before I start thinking about making them for any one else. |
