aaarrrrrgg 5.7 vortec wont start again!!!!!!!

I have an 01 3500 box truck with a 5.7 vortec,a couple of monthes ago it had a starting issue that I thought was related to timeing. The timeing has been set but since then every time the truck sits for 4 days or more without being started it wont run.I now think the timeing althou off was not the problem why it wouldnt start then.It seemes to be getting fuel,in fact after trying to start it it even smelled flooded.I know this is probly from trying to start and the injector dumping fuel. When it finnaly started the other times it always acted like it was flooded, you know black exaust, rough then clearing up.I dont know if it didnt start because it was flooded or if it got flooded cause it wouldnt start. Why only after 4 days? If I start it ever day or even every other day no problems ,and always runs great when it starts.I borrowed a fuel presure gauge and will check that in the morning.Any suggestions are welcome.Someone suggested the fuel presure regulater?Anyone think that could be the problem?

Maybe and injector leaking in the cylinder?

Update, so far I checked the fuel presure, its good 63 pounds.I checked for spark, has spark but is decidedly weak orange yellow.Tried diffrent coil and ignition modual that I took off a running motor at the local garage.Still no run also no improvment to spark.Next I will atemp a diffrent distributer which will include another cam senser, and if that dosent get it I will change the crank sensor next. Anybody know what could cause a weak spark? More updates latter on.

Took the distributer out of a running motor at the local junkyard, droped it in and she fired right up.Cant really figure it out. checked the spark after and it still looked yellow to me but it started right up. when I first dropped it in it was even off a couple of teeth and it still wanted to run. There was nothing visably wrong with the distributer itself so I have to lean toward the cam senser in the distributer.Very strange it had spark but somehow the timeing was way off, more off than when the distributer was two teeth off.Im just glad its running now it will be back to work tommorow.Ill have to wait and see what happens the next time she sits for a few days.

Check the inside of your cap. I bought a Borg Warner cap from Oreilly Auto and it had a bulletin about moisture collecting inside the cap due to faulty vents in the bottom of the dist. This caused the terminals in to corrode and turn white with deposits. It recommended drilling a small hole though the vent to prevent this prob. My factory cap on my 98 had the mentioned issue.
