water pump connections

Gents (Ladies?),
Still working my Wieand Blower/March Serpentine system (previous post below). Coming along with a few temporary show stoppers but getting there (just takes money, right?).

Anyway, I'm eliminating my heater/defroster from the cooling system. I have (from driver's side) vertical and lower right water pump ports and intake manifold ports on the fwd right top and both left and front face.

My question is: Since I do not know the water flow through the fwd intake manifold, does it matter how I connect the water pump to the manifold except for aesthetics?
