disc brakes?
i have a 1969 gmc k20,i have drums all around i can not find an 8lug disc brake conversion kit for my truck.i have done many searches and all i come up with is 6 lug.please help.by the way is it worth putting discs front and rear?i found a kit for the rear im having troubl with the front.

rear disks are a good idea if you spend a lotta time in the mud, loaded down more often than not, or, if your drums and shoes are discontinued (like my one ton's) Personally, if you don't meet any of those criteria, you are better off with drums in back.

thanks for the replys the kit you posted is for a 2 wheeldrive i need it for a 4 wheeldrive.

71-72 K20's have front disc brakes stock. So either hit up rockauto.com or your local NAPA, or hit the junk yards and get everything off a 71-72.

I just swapped in a 71 front axel with the same gear ratio, changed the M/C and prop valve, new front line and done. Took about a weekend.

My point exactly! Forget looking for expensive aftermarket stuff for the front. Just hit a bone yard, or the for sale section here and save a lot of $$$$.

what if you got a 71 or a 72 front end? i believe that they have discs in the front
