electric choke

on my 83-c-10, does the current for the electric choke come from a direct hot source when the switch is turned on, or does it have a sending type unit like a electric fan does? thanks guys, Art

i was told it just needs a switched 12V source

yeah, just a 12 volt source that has power when the key is on...
