Heater Box Vacuum Source???
 
i have no control over my heater box. i slide the selector to any position and it blows out air where ever and when I come to a stop the air mix door moves so I lose heat! what is going on here??? its like i have no vacuum... So where is the source of vacuum for the controls come from??? i need help asap since its freezing cold and i cant drive down the road like Ace Ventura again when my windsheild needs defrosting.... Thanks

check your vacuum canister, there should be a one way vacuum valve in line with the canister, my bet is this valve is missing or non functioning

thats in the front of the engine compartment behind the driver side headlight right? anyone have a picture of what it should look like??? it would be great help!

no, that is the vapor canister. the vacuum canister was round in my truck(84 GMC) and on the firewall 0n the drivers side
