I was having problems tring to find full length headers with 1 3/4 primary tube that would not hang below the framerails with sbc. So I got with a local header shop and made a proto-type set and are now ready for production. We use heavy wall 14 gage steel tubing (.083) thick, 3/8" thick laser cut flanges, 14 gage tubing for our collectors and take great pride in our finish work. All of our headers are fully welded around each primary tube on both sides of the flange. This gives the header a more "finished" appearance, reduces areas for rust to start and adds superior strength. We hand finish each port and machine the face of the flange flat to fully seat to the head as well as insuring there is no reduction in flow. We offer all flange options but have found the ball/socket connection to be the best all-a-round connection. They offer a leak-free seal without the use of a gasket, allow for some movement and adjustability during the install and they are much more reliable than a flat flange. Primary tube sizes are available in 1 5/8" or 1 3/4", depending on the power/torque specs of the engine. They are $550.00 bare and $865.00 CHROMEX ceramic coating plus shipping. Here are some pictures and I will post more when I get them back from coating.

Nice job! They look like they are modeled after Hedman. Will the finished product have the tubes dented in at the bolt locations or is this just because it's a prototype?

They will be clearenced on 1 3/4 and very little on 1 5/8

You have great plug access.You can run straight boot spark plug wires on all cylinders but #6 it requires a 90 degree boot.

Those are very nice looking headers.I've built several sets over the years.They look like they're easy access to the plugs,and I like the 14gu. tubes,and the 3/8" flanges are nice. Seems to be a very fair price for the quality of the product.These headers coated will most likely last the life of the truck.:chevy:

These will not work on manual transmission with factory clutch linkage. The headers tubes will not fit around the clutch linkage.

For these headers I ordered a set for my ole heap . Steve said be here in a week or so. Am looking forward to recieving these and getting them installed. I ordered the 1 3/4 coated headers.

One more thing that makes this intriguing to me . Is that these are home grown. I paid ten years ago 610 dolars for Ceramic coated tuned Hookers for a 67 Camaro. The headers have been in side all their lives.In less that 4 years The Cramic has bubbled peeled, rust has come forward and ceramic is flaking off. I do not believe Steve will shanghi a customer with poop quality merchandise. Gotta try the homies one time.Oh I bought these Hookers from Summit!

I pretty sure they will have no problems with a\c compressor. But I also Don't have a/c in my truck. I will try to find out.

Very nice product, you will probably sell a boat load once the news is out...I see that on the pass side your plug wires run between the tubes on 6-8, and you say you use a 90 degree wire on 6. Do you think that 90 wires could be used on all cyl if you were to route the wires in the factory position, behind block, and up past motor mounts?
Also, is this an uncomplicated install, I have a/c, p/s, power disk. Thanks. |

There should be no problems with running 90 boots with factory wire routing. It's a pretty easy install Drivers side goes in from the top and passengers goes in from the bottom. I'm running p/s and disc brakes With no booster (big cam) but they will not get in the way of the booster

The factory A/C lower compression bracket off the manifold will not work. We will try to get one made shortly (we got to get a compressor) Thanks Steve
