2WD Blazer Question
I was just wondering if GM made either a full size blazer or jimmy in a 2wd version? If so how rare are they? I wouldnt mind finding one.

Re: 2WD Blazer Question
They made them until '81 or '82, I think.

Re: 2WD Blazer Question
Yes they made them. I know they started the 2wd's in 1969, and I think they continued them until they dropped the full-size Blazer and Jimmy name plates. I think they dropped the name on the full-size's when they went to the Tahoe.

Yes they made them until 1982. Search the For sale section here, or you local craigslist.

Re: 2WD Blazer Question
if you look at the blazer section of this great site you'll see many 2wd blazers and jimmys, I have a 1974 GMC with a '90 Gmc front clip. Yon can find plenty of 2wd blazers on the west coast. I live in northwestern Pa. and mine came from New Mexico, good luck looking for one, with the top off it's a blast to drive come on summer!!!!!!!:gmc2:

Re: 2WD Blazer Question
They sure did. And you can easily convert a 4x4 by changing the rearend and bolting in a stock 2wd front crossmember. As a matter of fact. I have a very solid AZ zero rust 1976 2wd project that I would trade for a small box of money. It is on Phoenix Craigslist. Search blazer....... Mine has been converted. The VIN on a 4x4 starts with 1CK and, an original 2wd starts with 1CC. Some would pay more for an original 2wd from the factory. But they can be converted with all factory pieces......
