Stock CFM?
What is the stock CFM on the 4 barrel carbs in the 79s on the 350s?
What is the lobe on a "RV" Cam too? |
Re: Stock CFM?
Im not an expert but Ithink most of the 350,s during these years came with a 750 cfm quadrajet carb (Rochester)
RV CAMS provide good torque with a duration around 212 - 218 & a lift of .o45 -.o46 range. The main advantage of these cams is torque PULLING POWER ) with a decent increase in horsepower . |
Re: Stock CFM?
If you are going to get a new carb, you should only need about a 625-650CFM. Slugish is right on about the carb, but that carb came on about everything that GM made. I believe the the 454 is included in this. The Q-jet basically is "tuned" for your application and will only run what is needed CFM wise.
