As many of you know I started building a 67 big block step side over a year ago... I havent touched it in quite some time... too busy with family, work and all the other good stuff that gets thrown at you every day... took a few pics and really got the bug to get back on this project! Here are a few pics.. Im going with an army theme.. Flat green with some old arm art and lettering...

Are those your stock spindles used for wheel chocks! Nice. Trucks looking good! I don't think I have seen an Army themed 67-72, looking forward to seeing it done.

I thought about how the army jeeps were and the speedo is in the center of the dash so I fabbed up this... I originally had 20" steel wheels but would not work with the step side.. too tall.. The cab is a small back window 67...

Sold them on ebay... it would have been really cool but I didn't want to go through the hassle of cuting the fenders apart andd making them taller and wider..

Thanks , going to start mine in a few weeks. Converting to shortfleet and 5.3/4l60e. Army idea is very cool, good luck.

They are custom motorcycle/chopper lights... They do have a skull embossed in them... I am not sold on them yet... I need to get more of the truck together before I make the call..I may want to sitck with a more vintage/original look... I do know if I use them I will powder coat the chrome assy black..

Where did you source the 20" steel wheels? I might want to stick some ona truck w/ no drop. Are they 5x5" truck lug?

I have a truck that actually was military. pics attached

Didn't mean to hi jack your thread. Cool start on your project. I have a speedo out of a 55 like that, (for my half finished for 15 years 55 big window), but I am too lazy to do something cool like you. HAHA

My truck got painted blue at some time. Under the hood,on the cowl, it is still olive green. I think that would be a cool color.
