67 need help trailarm/coilover
Have a 67 snb chevy that I am in process of building. Woking on the frame now. I want to pro-street it going to run a 496/350 3000 stall Looking at using the trailarms and coilovers. Would like to know if it hooks up good, plan on running on the track occasionally, have seen different versions of how it is set up, bolted up on the trail arm mount or behind the axle more centered in the frame. Have not decided on rearend yet, has 12 bolt now. Would like to fit 15X14 wheel and a 30 or 31 tire. Any help and pics would be appriciated.

You can fit that much wheel and tire in there without touching the frame. I have my coilovers behind the axle. I have been pretty fast with trailing arms coilovers and an anti roll bar. Depending on the weight of the truck I would do either a 400 or a glide. The 350 won't live without a 300 dollar sprag.

Cool I would like to put some good size meats under the truck it makes the attitude to me. Do you have some pics of your setup I want to do it right the first time, what spring rate and type are you running? Not for sure if the trans has the good sprag or not its running behind the motor now in my 77 swb with 410 posi no traction whatsoever!!! I got the truck in a trade from a buddy before he got into anymore trouble with it......

Just finished installing mine this eve. Dana 60 from Drivetrain specialist, And an Ebay coil over kit. Thanks to some good folks here that replied to my questions about a month ago.Dates on Camera are Not Right.

man that looks good I like that setup, thanks for the pics. I'm going to start looking at the parts and pricing. what spring rate are you running? Been looking at kevins tread to get some more good info. At this point I can do easily, still get to everything I am still pretty much frame, recently put all new front suspension on it, converted of course to disk all new brake SS lines and hoses, rehung axle and suspension so I could atleast move it around.

If There is 2 pounds of difference Id be Surprised, But Structurally, The CCP Ones Would be far superior to stock, Rigid Stuff. This Truck was a 6 cyl. with a 3 on Tree, No PS or AC, It Doesnt seem Like a Real Heavy Vehicle. Whats a Guess on Weight with an alum Headed BBC? I am Thinking 3500. Any One with any Simular Stuff Know a weight?

I'm in the same process but, i made my own ladderbars, coilovers and 1/2 tubs,9" ford. i hav'nt found ladderbars long enough so i made my own 48" long. with heim joints and all the brackets it will be 52-53" long. this should put me 1 or 2" fwd of the stock front pivot location. thats very important because that adds to rearwheel weight as well as battery and fuelcell relocation to the rear of the bed. check out my build thread Biulding the Damn Yankee. it's still in the early stages but there are pics of the ladderbars,brkts,rear, cell etc. the guys here are damn knowledgable and super at sharing it! straight up GOOD PEOPLE!!! good luck v/r phipp13

cool thanks for the information, will check out your thread phipp13. Not for sure were I am going to be at on weight yet I am going to run a short step side bed. my truck is disassembled right now.
