Phoenix, AZ Area Body and Paint Help!!!

Our build on the 72 K-10 project is nearing time for final body work, prep and paint. We are in need of a painter in the Phoenix area that is capable and not overly expensive. Does anyone know of a good painter, or are any of the board members capable of doing the job? I would rather pay a board member than an unknown shop to do the work!!! Some of the quotes we have gotten recently are absurd, as high as $25,000.00 for some body work (most has been done) and paint. Their work looked shabby to say the least! I understand that quality work costs money and, in this business, you get what you pay for. I won't be raked over the coals though! I thank you all in advance for any contacts or info you might be able to give me.

I would estimate about $2650 to paint your truck, and about $45 per hour for bodywork. That is a NC estimate, sight unseen. Anyone quoting $25k just doesn't want to do it. Wish I could do it for you, but I think you're a few days away from me!

$2,650 aint gonna paint that truck in this state....Unless it's maaco...

I know of a good guy but he is in Mesa.....two of my buddies had him paint their first gen Camaros....One was a full frame off high end job that my buddy had painted around $9,000 for....and the other one was a "Scuff & paint" w/ a little body work for around $5,000...good work & good people

The shop is:
Henry's
529 S Center St
Mesa, AZ 85210
(480) 962-0388

Here are my buddy's cars...The 69 Red Z was the frame off & the white 67 was the "scuff & paint"...also included a link to a thread discussing the white cars paint job and Henry's.....
