Fuel tank interchange?

will the stock tank from a 82 LWB C10 fit a 79 K20? reason is, i found a 79 K20, and all it needs a fuel tank. i just happen to have the stock tank from my 82 C10 that i tore apart. any help is appreciated.

the short bed came with a 16ga. tank and most long beds came with a 20ga. tank

Not for sure but I think the filler necks are different. Check LMC for years on the necks and maybe sizes.

filler neck shouldnt be a problem. the one from the 82 is still attached to the tank, and the truck has a flatbed on it now. i'll have to fabricate a mount for the filler anyways. are the straps and saddles the same?

Yes they should be fine. Just make sure to use the right sendin units.
