67-70 shorty bumper gaurds.

I have seen these shorty gaurds in 2 different positions and was wondering if one way is correct. On the 69-70 chevys i have seen them centered under the turn signals. I have also seen them centered over the inner bumper bolts. Just wondering if one is correct, or maybe both ways depending on if 67-68, or maybe gmc...

All that I have seen come with a templete to drill the bumper and center the guards under the signal lights. The 71-72 model guards mount to the inboard bumper bolts. If not interested in drilling the bumper, mount them at the inboard bolts.

I agree.I`m planning on using bumper bolts.I like them there anyway.Since they were accessories they could be mounted however the owner saw fit.If they followed direction the went wide under the signals.

So we are saying one way is not more correct than the other way?
Tim, are you saying the directions recommend under the turn signals? Thanks for the input...

Yeah, that`s what 71 Super has found, too.I always wondered why most were mounted wide. Then,I got a n.o.s. set and saw the instructions.

what they said, the instructions say they go wide but i'll put mine over the center bumper bolts. they look good either way in my opinion.
