Here's My Start

It is a 1948 1/2 ton 5 window. Deluxe model. It has 52 - 55 doors. Kind of like wing windows, so this is OK. Has a 54 235ci 6 and a 4-speed. The truck came from New Mexico and is suppose to be rust free. We'll see after the layers of paint are removed. Has some extra holes in bed sides & doors from different things that were mounted to them that will need filling. The tail gate has a angle welded to it, so it is most likely not salvageable.

Thoughts on what I will or might do
• I have a 57 Chevy rear end I'll use.
• Would like to air bag the front & back, but cost is high & would need to "C" the rear.
• Chassis Engineering has a bolt in rear kit that lowers the back.
• Chassis Engineering has a Mustang II bolt in front kit.
• Small block Chevy engine & a 5-speed.
• Later model bench seat.
• Two tone paint job, maybe 2 tone satin.
• Older style mags, chrome or steel wheels.
• Different rear bumper
• Fulton visor.
• Chrome grill & bumpers.

First thing is to get the title straightened out. Don't want to put a bunch of money into it until I have a solid MN title.

It was delivered during the start of a pretty big snow storm.
