Spy Photo! Shockwave Equipped Raised Crossmember!
Here is a few photo's of our Shockwave Raised Crossmember. It uses the ART SKW2000. The one with the 224c "2600" airbag. We have a few more modifications to make to the unit but I wanted to show you guys some pics for now. I will have more info soon.

Otherwise it will crash into that very expensive beautiful Shockwave. |

Re: Spy Photo! Shockwave Equipped Raised Crossmember!
I guess not having steering stops would only be a problem in parking lots and such. I've never been lock to lock at speed. (except for donuts) but still, could any damage be severe? (I now all variable come into play e.g tire dia and size back space......)
Oh, yeah I was already planning on removing mine too. |
Re: Spy Photo! Shockwave Equipped Raised Crossmember!
Will the Shockwave perform like a standard bag? Is there any benefit (besides a nice tidy package) to having the bag and shock operating at the same angle and suspension load?
I really like the Shockwaves, and am considering them for my '55 which has a Camaro subframe. I'm also planning the suspension for my '73, which will eventually have one of the dropped crossmembers shown on this board. I haven't decided who's yet (Porterbuilt or Suicide Doors). |
Re: Spy Photo! Shockwave Equipped Raised Crossmember!
So i'm guessing you could run a coilover as well if you wanted?
