fixing the dash where the radio is
does anyone have a good solution for fixing the dash of my 68 pickup where someone butchered the dash to put in an aftermarket radio. I would like to put it back to original. Maybe some sort of plate to make it look original ??

Welcome to the site from still sunny and warm Arizona! It is January right?
Here is what I did. I made a new plate and installed it over the old cut up hole the PO made! Looks OK, I think. I used high-quality 3M double sided tape to hold it in place as I didn't want a bunch of goofy looking screws holding it in! Been there for almost a year and still holding. Don |

I think you got this in the wrong forum, but I will take a shot. You could have a stock cut out welded back in, OR you could go with a cover plate. There is a guy selling the in the 67-72 parts forum. I just can't remember his screen name right now.
