does the overflow tank come with the vent cap? How much to ship to 66030

Re: F/S: Intake, Ram Horn Exhaust, Overflow Tank

Yes, It comes with the vent cap as pictured. I also have the mounting screws (coarse thread bolts) but they did not get painted. The vent cap is no longer available from GM but I was able to score two before they became obsolete. Built one for my truck but have not mounted yet as truck is in storage off-site for winter. Shipping cost is $5.00 to your door via USPS parcel post. UPS cost from on-line was almost double, ???? .... crazy!!

Hi, Do you know if the rams horn manifolds are 2" or 2.5"? Or do they have casting #'s?

Ironhorse 04-28-2009 06:55 PM

Re: F/S: Intake, Ram Horn Exhaust, Overflow Tank

To be honest I believe they are 2" as only the true Corvette factory exhausts were 2.5" if I recall. Will have to dig them out of the parts shed when I get home from work tomorrow. They do have a part number on them but don't have it at the moment. Will post it tomorrow also.

what would shipping the intake manifold be to NM?

Re: F/S: Intake, Ram Horn Exhaust, Overflow Tank

Mike, Sorry but everything but the 4x4 exhaust manifolds has been sold.
Tried to edit as such but did not get it done and forgot to try again. All the items sold in January and figured such an old post no sense in editing at this late date.

Re: F/S: Intake, Ram Horn Exhaust, Overflow Tank

Turbo85GMC, Found the exhausts and came up with these PN's. Went to the Chevymainia website and found this info:

RH 3872778 66-68 Corvette, Passenger Car and Truck: fits 283, 307 & 327 195, 200, 250, 275, 300 and 375 HP 2" with A.I.R. tube fittings

LH 3872765 67-71 Corvette 300, 330, 350 and 370 HP 2" with A.I.R. tube fittings

All the fitting threads are good with plugs fitted except the two center fittings on the right hand exhaust. For whatever reason they have been welded shut. Don't think it would be a problem unless doing a "correct" points restoration. Left hand exhaust has accessory mounting boss.

Any questions you have will do my best to answer. Guess I learned something about the Corvette factory cast exhausts.
