help what front suspension do I have
 

I am building a 67 short bed, using a 72 short bed frame, my problem; I am trying to rebuild the suspension, found what I thought were 72 lower control arm bushings at the local Chevrolet dealer, the ones they have are screw in type, the ones on my frame are press in type. Maybe someone put a newer front suspension on it, it does have disc brakes and it looks like it grew there but not sure, any help is much appreicated.

From what I understand they're probably off a 73-87. Are they 5-lug?

I agree with the above statement as that is probably what they did.

Thanks for the help, yes it is a 5 lug, and has disc brakes, sort of figured it might be a 73 the rear axle is not home grown either, best part is 73 bushings are esay to find, do you guys thinks there is any problems I should look out for?

I would take them off and take them to a machine shop where they can use a press and there adapters. You can beat them off and back on but they can be a PITA sometimes. You can buy camber corector kits with offset shafts if you think you might need them or are going to drop the frontend. But you better check with someone other than me in that area.

Thanks for all the info, will try to post some pic's soon. Already have the ball joints removed am blessed enough to have my own press in my shop. The lower ball joints I purchased are the same for 72 and 73 and look the same as the ones I removed. Thanks again for the help

Not far from you, just south of Hunt Highway west of Sossaman. New to the 67-72 trucks this is my first truck build, did rebuild a Manx type dunebuggy but going to enjoy this much more. If you know of anyone looking I have some 72 parts, cab, doors, one fender and both wells. PM me sometime.

I live off Ironwood/Ocotillo. It sure would be great to meet some guys who are knowledgeable about these trucks. Go Cards!
