67 custom cowl emblem
Is a Custom emblem on the cowl of a 67 c10 orginal? rare? I have never seen it before. It is cursive and just say "Custom"

Re: 67 custom cowl emblem
I'd have to say no.

Re: 67 custom cowl emblem
I am pretty sure it belongs on the door, just below glass and in the middle.

Re: 67 custom cowl emblem
Sounds like the standard 67-68 custom door emblem. A pic would verify it.

Re: 67 custom cowl emblem
The 67/68 Custom badge on a Chevy goes under the door windows about center and is script within a horizontal rectangle.
The`67 GMC Custom badge goes on the fender where all badges go.It is unique. It is a Custom script at the top of a veryicle rectangle. The`68 GMC Custom badge is just the script and is located under the door windows rearward on the door. |

I too have holes in the side of the cowl panel for an emblem..

Re: 67 custom cowl emblem
Not sure what that is from. Not correct for 67-72s...
Texan idiot, alot of times the dealers would put their metal dealer plate in that spot. |
Re: 67 custom cowl emblem
I had a 71 custom with emblems like that but they were under the window on the door just above the door handle

Re: 67 custom cowl emblem
Back in the day, dealers would put their chrome-plated logos on the cowl. I'm talking back in the Fifties, with the 48-54 style. It didn't matter what brand of truck it was, it was just what they did. Sometimes it was the cowl, other times it was the fender (on later models).
But, none of the '67-72's had any trim on the cowl panel, except for the antenna. My guess is that someone wanted to "gussie" up their truck and put the Custom label on the cowl....to be different. It ain't stock. |
