402 BB Carb Gaskets or spacers?

I have a 71 with original 402. I'm attempting to replace my mid 70's carb for a 7041211 original style carb but one for a 350 engine. The linkages are different between the two. When I install the original carb (7041211), the bottom of the linkage hit's one of the bolts on the intake manifold. I realize the 7041211 is for the 350 but are the linkages different between the 350 and 402? Am I missing a spacer or thicker gasket?

The reason I'm in this bind is because I sent my original 7041209 carb off to be rebuilt and the guy has disappered. Unfortunately, with my carb.

There are a lot of variations in the linkage of those carbs. through the years. Sometimes you can cut off the lower part if your application doesnt need it. Or you will need a spacer. Make sure the bottom matches up. Some of the older models had heat passages under the carb. If they dont cover all the opinings you will need a plate under it.
