I have a reverse sunroof due to rust, not a huge fan ;p

yea thats what i was thinkin, im just wanting something that i can have when it gets warm out (soon i hope!) that will be more summer worthy then just a plain solid top

In a pickup I'd rather have a sliding rear window...

Mine doesn't. By and large, I'm not a fan of sunroofs, but the Original owner did this one right. From all my research, mine was a early 90's Nissan Sentra/Maxima OEM unit. There's two seals on mine: an inner that seals the glass from below that runs about 2" from the perimeter, and a secondary seal that runs around the edge of the glass on top. There's about a 2" wide channel outward from the inner seal to the edge of the opening with 2 drain tubes that removes any water that comes through.

I second that.

Every one I've seen leaked and not only rusted the roof, but the floor also.

If you are going to that much trouble why not make it a removeable top
convertable? You know the ones that were pop in the 80s/90s.
A convertable truck would be sweet!

I think you can still buy the kits to do it.

jr your never gonna be happy.

convertable top would be cool, sunroof not so much, sounds cool now but by the time its installed you wouldnt like it imho. Sliding back window would probably be your best bet, unless you want to try making it a full removeable top, but i think that may be a step over a 16 year olds skill level, im 18 and i wouldnt have attempted caddy lights though so i dont know, its just alot of fab work.

The sliding rear window is a great way to go. You can have it open on the highway and there isn't much wind noise.

I'd like to fab in a panoramic sunroof out of a BMW X3,X5 or X6 into my suburban. But the lack of the all mighty cubic Dollar prevents me from doing so.
