Who has 2000+ Tahoe or Burb third row seats?

I have a set of the small flip down slid out 2003 Tahoe third row seats also called suitcase seats. Does anyone have a few pics of the mounting of these? I have never seen the factory mounting before and am starting to plan out my seats in my 72 4door Tahoe so I need to figure out the mounting. I might go ahead and get the entire rear floor out of a newer Tahoe or Burb and just section that into mine since I have a bit hole left in mine since I shortened it down. I also have the second row 60/40 flip and tumble seats and full power front buckets also out of a 2000+ Tahoe that will be going in one I finish up more of the metal work.

So any info on the third row seats would be great!

go on evilbay and search "3rd row brackets" There's usually a couple of sets there. They consistantly go for $125 - $145. I'm in the market myself but I'm waiting to make down to Seattle and go to a pull apart. I'm told they are a bi#*h to take out.
since these brackets need to be recessed not flat, I'm thinking your right. it might be easier to cut out a section of the donor's floor and graft it to my Burb's floor.

anyone with experience or ideas?

Al.

I just purchased a 3rd row seat and I was wondering the same thing. More importantly, how do you make it work with the wood floor?

I know someone here has done this and they removed the floor from the donor vech. and welding the floor in their suburban. I think it was about a year ago.
OK I was wrong it was in the blazer forum. Here is a link. Same principal.

I've seen it on a blazer, but I never seen it done to a suburban. I was thinking of welding new brackets to the seat. I'm looking for a less evasive solution. Just an idea.:mm:

You know for some reason I thought the blazer guy used the third row bench. But after going back through that post I was wrong, thanks. I will start calling around for a floor section as I am in no hurry since I need to do the rear 3 link wish bone set up and step notch first anyways.

Thanks again guy's

Hey Kevin,

The wife's got a 01 tahoe...sounds like you're gonna find a floor to make your seats work, but if you need any pics or anything in the meantime...let me know. They're only a camera click away!

Yes I bought a floor out of a 2002 Tahoe that I should get later this week but it will sit until I get my rear suspension figured out and that means more customer work so I can afford the parts;) What you could get me is the dimension of the floor step that the second row is sit on from the main floor. Turns out the second row seat I have is out of a 2003 Burb and I think the Tahoe second row seat would work out better depending how tall that floor step is. If it works out right I can slid that seat back a bit more for some more leg room in the second row.

Thanks,

Kevin
