78 chevy th400 kick down peadl wiring help?

I just purchased a kick down pedal for the th 400 in my 78. The truck originally had a th350 so i am not sure how to wire the pedal up between transmisssion and wherever else. All responses appreciated.

Brothers. One leg of the switch goes to B+ via any connection in the fuse block that goes on and stays on with the ign on. Ign 1 or 2 should do nicely. Next, the wire goes to the connector on the side of the trans. I am assuming it is NOT a TCC unit. The connection on the trans for forced downshift will be a single wire male connection. Hook it up, adjust the switch and road test. You should be good to go at that point. Jim
