Adjustable Panhard Bar Which one 2 use ECE/CPP?

1 Attachment(s)
My truck is bagged and c notched and need to know which Super track bar to install? I have heard of some of you running into issues with clearance from bar to c-notch. I want as easy install as there is? Any info would be great?

I have ECE's track bar. No Notch. The frame is sitting on the axle tube. I have not aired the bags up yet.

With the frame sitting on the axle tube and the track bar mounted, it seems to be level or paralel with the axel. With a notch it would angle up a little, I think that's what it is supposed to do.

From what I can see on my setup there is enough room to clear with a 2" c-notch.

The e-brake cable mounting tabs get close to the frame rails though(also have ECE's Trailing arms, tabs may be in a different spot then original)

This post assumes you have a c-notch and not a bridge of any kind... Edit... And I see you do!

Does it install between trailing arms and axel tube?

Not sure I follow,

It get's installed in the original location on the frame. Then the other end gets sandwiched between the axle pad and trailing arm on the pasenger side.

It doesn't mount to the tube at all.

There are plenty of pics here, even recently can't remember where I saw it. I'll be back with a link...

Did not find a link yet, but I was wrong about the bracket on the pass. side trailing arm. It goes on the bottom of the arm.

The ECE super bar bracket bolts between the axle pad and the top of the trailing arm.

CPP's is made to work with their bolt-in c-notch. ECE's will clear the notch just fine with a 2" block, which you will want anyway to help keep more air in the bags at ride height. Go with whichever one you like better, or the company that will give you better service. FYI- both my trucks run ECE- just put the CPP on a buddy's truck and it works well but requires you to re-use some hardware...

Re: Adjustable Panhard Bar Which one 2 use ECE/CPP?

I think when it comes to the panhard bar(super track bar as ECE calls it), I like CPP version of the mount that goes on the trailing arm.

ECE is top notch in service, I have been reading about these guys when I was in high school(both days).

rex01atv, I see where I lost you in my previous post. I was trying to answer all questions at once. My reference to the the e-brake tabs was another issue I was talking about. On my setup they are close to the frame just under two inches(my frame is sitting on the axle tube) so if you run a notch they may touch the frame. You can solve this with blocks as mentioned above, which is a great idea; to be able to add more pressure to the bags but still have the lowered stance.

I was talking jiberish and I apologize.

No problems, thanks for helping. My ebrake monted pretty easy wear the tabs were without interference issues? You might be alot loweret than mine though?

Re: Adjustable Panhard Bar Which one 2 use ECE/CPP?

ECE, hands down. Even if it was substantially better than CPP's (it isn't), and it was much more expensive (it isn't), you're likely to find that ECE's service is top-notch. You are also likely to find that CPP's is teh sux0rz. Pop over to the Reviews forum and do a search for CPP. I believe they've earned their reputation (I've experienced it first-hand).
