gmc steering wheel cap

anyone know what the center cap attatches to inside the steering wheel. cant seem to figure it out. just sits in there loose. somethings missing?

Their is a metal cup the plastic tabs on the horn button clip onto. Check to see if the tabs on your center cap are broken off.
