Edelbrock 1405 Filter Question

trying to clean up the engine compartment a bit in the '69. I've always hated the fact that I had to run rubber hose from the fuel pump to the carb and secure it to the heater hose. so I'm hard lining the fuel line (like factory).

since you know my idea, here's what I am looking for.

has anyone found, or is using, a filer that screws into the carb itself, and has an outlet of 3/8 NPT?

The only thing I found was made by Russell.

I don't think these carbs are made to run without an inline filter, correct?

Re: Edelbrock 1405 Filter Question

I went to a schucks auto parts store( also checker or kragen) and bought a banjo fitting that allows you to put a hard line from the pump to the intake manifold, then put an inline filter and short piece of hose to the carb. No fuel line hanging over the valve cover and zip tied to the heater line. It looks as if it were a factory instal.

Re: Edelbrock 1405 Filter Question

I recently installed a 1406 on my sbc and went with a russel proclassic braided setup.Braided line with AN fittings from pump to carb, with an inline filter and banjo fitting at the carb.Very nice piece, but a bit pricey.Just another option.
