Polishing Aluminum Wheels w/beads and/or studs.......

Okay, my knuckles are bruised and sore from just polishing the first wheel. So I beg of you more knowledgeable folks.......is there something better than Mother's Mag for polishing aluminum wheels w/beads around the edges?

I know that they will look great once they're done......but I'm not sure that my hands can take it.

So what methods have you fellas used w/success?

Thanks,
Greg

I had really good luck using the Mothers Power Ball. I washed the wheels as best I could then went to work with the power ball in my air drill and it was almost like new. I could have spent some more time to really get all the brake dust crap off but I got lazy.

+1 on the mothers power ball, when I had my torque thrust wheels I had to polish them about every three months very quick and easy.

Yeah, I've got a power ball that I use on my Peterbilt and all the diamond plating. But it just keeps getting torn up when I try to force it into the tight edges where the beads are......that's why I went back to doing it by hand.

I have the Outlaw wheels on my truck. They have holes about the size of a quarter all the way around w/the beads around the edges.

Surely there's something else out there that someone has experience good results with.

I use California Custom purple polish and the alumnium deoxidizer that they sell to clean and polish the wheels. They will shine like chrome with very little effort. Here is a link to there site.

I have aluminum wheels on my 84. I havent polished them yet. I used to detail my Grandma;s Expedition every month and all I used was a clean rag. She had chrome wheels and it never left any scratches. Just a rag, no solvents etc.

I went to the NHRA races in TEXAS and bought some polish and sealer! Works GREAT! Clean with polish and then seal them! METALGLOSS.com Use it my 72 and wifes truck!
