random question - airbags or spring/coil suspension?

Given the following: I would like to use the truck as a truck, but I would like it to handle as well as it possibly could (within reason of course, I'm not going to build an entirely custom tube chassis). For those that have messed with the suspension, what seems to be the best route for weight/handling/comfort combined?

I've always leaned toward airbags, but I'm just not that familiar with them so I don't have a clue if they are really just for slamming for shows and a smooth ride, or if a custom airbag setup on a truck like mine (or others here) would work well in the real world.

Thanks for any thoughts!:flag:

take a look at the axles of "over the road trucks" & their trailers, they've been using air bags for years. With a air ride system, you can have your cake & eat it too when it comes to ride quality & load capacity. But a good air ride system does cost more. The key to a good handling "baged" car (or truck) is to have each corner on a seprate valve so air can't travel from one side to the other when cornering

i am using springs in the front and bags in the back to start. that way i can set the stance just right, and air up the rear if i need to when i hook up a trailer.
