I'm pretty sure that wheel is not made anymore, I hope somone has one for you though.
|
I do remember western wheel corp. for some reason. Did some research for you (only $50/hr) :)
Couldn't find a website, but I did find: WESTERN WHEEL CORPORATION 14500 FIRESTONE BLVD, LA MIRADA, CA 90638 (714) 994-0150 Good luck! |
I have Enkei wheels on my '69, a pair of 15x7's and a pair of 15x8's. Had 4 of each, but had to do some wheel swappin' when I lowered it....seems disc brakes add width to the front track. So, somewhere in Ft. Worth, TX, is a black '69 Chevy with the same wheel combo....may be running a set of 3-bar knock-offs.
|
Western Wheel is down the street from me. I don't know who sells em retail though.
|
Western wheels doesnt make old wheels no more they make mazda and GMC..... i couldn't get what they are callled now but he sayed they use to be called Western Wheels.......(*^$@(# grrrrrr thanks everyone
|
I thought Western Wheels were gone and that American Racing either bought them or part of them.
I'm running the old 8 lug turbine wheels on my K20s. Exact same wheels and some say Western and some are American. Hard to find those wheels too. I had to buy a whole truck to get the last set. The wheels were worth more than the truck if that gives you any indication of what the truck was like. |
For some reason, the aformentioned wheels look way better to me then the newer knock offs. I have a set of the Outlaw II's on my 96 Sierra 4x, and I don't care for them. I would however, like a set of those on the truck that started this post!
I think with fewer holes the wheels just look cleaner and more visually appealing. |

grrrrrr.........i'll have three of them for sale. dont let the picture miss lead you. the wheel came off at 65mph hit the center divider , flew in the air 30ft and landed on a on-coming cars hood. no one got hurt.
|
I was going to say Centerline, but after seeing the back, they definately aren't Centerlines. I know there were a ton of knock-offs of that style in the 80's
|
Now how did that fall off? Loose lug nuts? Broken studs?
Hows the truck? I assume your ok since you not asking for pain killers or body part donors. Good luck finding a new set of wheels. |
Call stockton wheel, maybe they can fix it.

the lug got loose after i double check them that morning too.......what luck i have. Only damage to the truck so far ust by looking at it is the drum got shaved a little from the sliding. it's not bent so it held up to the pressure other then that i got to wait till i drive her.
|
What about Alcoa, they might have something like it, strong too
|
nah i'm lookin into black powder coated steel wheels... cheap and make the truck look a little more of a mud beast. oh the tire is fine just iin case anyone ask. that remind me any one got a set of black powder coated wheels 4 sale?
|
Atleast your axles didnt fall out. I have a friend in an 88 blazer go around a corner and both axles came out, lucky not completly out. I guess the c clips went buh bye.
Same friend, but in his 68 SWB GMC, cracked a TH350 in half, cut the driveshaft in half and shot half of it across 4 lanes of the freeway. No one hurt but the truck needed another new driveshaft, a new yoke, the rear end to be rebuilt, and a new tranny. I shot the spider gears though my stock 10 bolt housing in my lemans. I guess the bolt snaped, pin came out in three peices, spiders gears fell out and got caught in the ring and pinion causing a 2 inch hole in the bottom and one starting on the top. |
what size black wheels are you looking for?
|
Its appears to be the same as American Racing's Baja wheel.
|
Is it just me or is that a very course left hand thread on those u-bolts in that last picture?

On ALCOA wheels: The only wheels that they had that may be available in a 5 of 6-hole pattern will have to be Mickey Thompson Classics. ALCOA doesn't offer them any more, unless you order a buttload of them, i.e., you gotta lotta money!
The do have plenty of other styles, as long as you want 8-lugs or big truck stuff. I worked for ALCOA, but not in Cleveland at the wheel plant. But, I do have their old catalog and the newest one, so I feel good about the info. Only problem is finding a dealer. |
Pep boys has those from american racing! 16 X 10 are around $130 I just looked at them in a store in Pittsburgh over the weekend and told my wife I would like them under the tree. I am not sure if they have them for 4x4 or not
