Got me some buckets!
Traded my bench to a buddy for his buckets out of his 94 Chevy 1 ton, took some fabbing to get the bench in his narrower truck, but all I had to do was make 4 1" spacers and drilled 4 holes and get some longer bolts.
The spacers I have now are temporary till my dad makes me some better ones and since my mom does upholstery I'm getting them in black leather :D http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/9282/picture021aw0.jpg http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/2485/picture020tg2.jpg http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/6456/picture024pw8.jpg http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/7948/picture022tl2.jpg http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/4479/picture023hr5.jpg Not bad for $5 in hardware :) I'm almost 6'4" and I don't have any leg room problems, but I'm going to have to d a little more fabbing when my new cab tank comes in. |
Re: Got me some buckets!
I am by no means a structural engineer, but the way you have those spacers seems to be an issue. Maybe you should get a length of square tubing to lay horizontally as the support to spread the weight over a larger surface. I am just afraid those seats were made to be mounted to a flat surface. Just my opinion.

Re: Got me some buckets!
Why did you want the seats to sit an inch higher?
