I watched "Two Guys Garage", which used to be "Crank N Chrome" which used to be "Shadetree Garage".....on Thursday. Anyway, they had a feature on the two guys competing to build a small block Chevy, which they did in about 38 minutes from a bare block. Of course, all of the parts were "right there" and they had already been fit to the block. The deal was that they had to assemble the engine and make it run for 30-seconds....straight out the headers.

Anyway, blueprintengines.com was the sponsor and I tried their website to "Build" an engine. All I found for Chevy was a 383 Torquer. You have a choice of colors, pan types, heads-aluminum or iron, etc., but no choice of pistons, rods, cam, timing gear, etc. The engine I built showed to put out about 440lbft of torque, with a fairly flat torque curve between 2200 and 4800 RPM's. Horsepower was about 375 at 5000RPM's.

IF you wanted a Ford engine, they have several choices. Only one Chevy engine for us, tho.

Hmm that blows, over 6 grand for a 383 with very limited dress up items.... lol the should change the site name to dressupengines.com...... I mean come on here what about pistons, cams, bearings, etc. sheesh only options they give you are oil pan heads and intake....thats just sad plus they wanna charge a person over 6 grand for a 2500-4500 engine:mad:
