Mounting CB Radio

Any of you all have CB radios mounted in your Blazers? I need some ideas on mounting the radio. I know it would seem straight forward BUT as you might know there is not a whole lot of room under the dash and if you mount the CB bracket to the metal lip under the front part of the dash the CB radio not only looks out of place but also seems like it would get knocked around because it sticks out quite a bit. Any ideas and pics of CB radios mounted would be great.

I don't have my CB mounted anymore and I don't have any pictures, but I had mine to the right of the steering column on the metal dash lip. I had a magnetic holder for the mic on the face of the dash near the radio. Never had problems bumping the CB radio, but the mic would get bumped with three people in the cab.

Mine's mounted inside the counsole, along with an 8 track player. They've been their a long time. Put a truck mirror mount on my tire rack for the antenna. Use the original radio speaker for the cb speaker. Has worked fine like that for over 30 years. I don't like putting a lot of un-necesary holes in the old girl. Didn't think anybody used cb's anymore.

My CB is mounted under the dash; between the heater controls & glove box.
I'm kind of long legged & it seemed to be in the way any closer. But i can still reach & adjust on it easily from the drivers seat.

I like "old man jimmy"s idea of using the original speaker as a CB speaker - think I may do that!

Mine had one mounted under the heater/ac controls. The same screws that held the controls up, held the bracket for the cb up. I have pics but the computer is messed up now. I removed the cb because it made the dash look cluttered. I will see if I can find the pics and post them.

Here is a pic of it if it gives you an idea. The cb is under the heater/ac controls and an 8-track player is under the column. It was never in the way, but it did detract from the dash. I did move it under the column and it really didnt bother me, it was harder to use though.
