Re: who sells good carpet?
Tim Christian does sell carpet. You need to be able to specify color, cabstyle(high hump or low) and shifter location. There may be something else to order the right one but Tim will get you right.

http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/c...l/yearlist.htm i orederd mine from these guys and it came in a ACC box fit perfect and looks great, and cheap.

Re: who sells good carpet?
ACC is what most vendors sell.. I like them, BUT their dyes are poor at best, and do not hold up to sunlight.

Re: who sells good carpet?
You might ask 72levi, he just bought some and it's perfect.

Re: who sells good carpet?
We sell the only carpet that is a GM Restoration approved carpet. Its from Trimparts. I still don't believe that any mfg has real great carpet but we like theirs. Just for info most all of the new carpet from Gm is recycled plastic beleive it or not. We have both Black High hump and low hump full in stock. We can give you a good deal on the High Hump

Re: who sells good carpet?
As far as the recycled plastic goes, some new homes are using carpet made out of recycles plastic or 'coke' bottles. Its the new 'green' carpet (as in enviromentaly friendly). Its a little more expensive, but from what I've heard. its great stuff. It don't stain or wear near as much as traditional carpet because of the plastic. It does feel just like traditional carpet. Tested that myself. I don't know of any vendors selling that for autos (as of yet), but if I would get carpet, I would find a vendor that sells trim parts carpet. I have heard alot of bad things about the 'other guys' with fading badly in a years time. I haven't bought any myself, so I can't say for sure. Let us know who you go with.

Re: who sells good carpet?
Also state if you want factory correct carpet or the newer grade carpet. I bought my carpet from Tim Christians years ago and hopefully in 2-3 months it will be installed. Geeeee I hope I don't run into any warranty issues.

Re: who sells good carpet?
I bought the trimparts carpet locally. It's very nice. As far as holding up, it's only been a year so I can't say. I park it inside the garage all the time also except when out of town.
This was while I was installing it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...0/DSC01023.JPG |
