Tank compressor Valve Layout
 

Working on a 70 c-10 Fleet....Wondered if some pics could be posted on air system layouts...such as tank location, compressor location, and valve manifold (big red 4 way). It's a short wheelbase and the gas tank will be relocated under the bed in the rear....Any comments or ideas will be put to good use, this is my first attempt with air suspension, all parts so far have been purchased thru vendors on this site...and after following builds on this site, there are more smarts here than in detroit...come on guys a little help here...thanks:chevy:

hmm no one is familiar with air ride layouts? Am i on the wrong web site?

the board vendors that you purchased your parts from should have the diagrams you need ... there are different layouts for different systems (# of tanks, # of compressors, # of valves, etc)

Do you want anything in the bed? Or everything under the bed?
Big red valve need to be in a cental location, out of direct spray of water from the tires. Some people put them behind the cab on the side of the frame, some put them under the hood.
Most compressors are mounted along the frame. (most prefer toward the rear of the truck, to attempt to quiet the noise)
Tanks can be mounted close to the compressor so the leader hose can attach directly to the tank.
It all depends on what you want to do.

Alot of people mount the air tanks in the spare tire location,... but that's out for you, because you are moving your gas tank.
So I would mount the tank(s) on the side of the frame under the cab.
What exactly do you have to mount?

Thanks lolife99 for your response. I have to mount everything the compressor, tank and the Big Red 4 path manifold. I'm just trying to get the best plan from other board members and do this once and not destroy my equipment. Would it be best to mount it all in the bed? I'm gonna use 1/4 in line to be able to control it. I have a new thomas 327 compressor and dominator bags and the mounts. I plan on 1 5 gal tank

You do not have to put all in bed if you do not desire. Personally the 3 gal tanks fit well on each side of the frame in the rear and put the compressor(s) there as well. The valve block can go wherever from harms way.
