tranny dilema

Since Ive gotten my I have been pondering the possibilty of switching my K20s TH350 to 700R4. My dilemma is this truck is my daily driver in the winter, will be hauling about 5-8 cords of wood a summer, an I play in the mud when the season cooperates!!!!!! Big thing is I don't wanna lose my NP 205, these transfer cases are indestructible an I don't wanna drop it while in the middle of a hole, or while pullin logs outta the woods!!! There are lots of opinions an guys on here that debated the same question I am sure but is it worth it???? I have a guy whose done the trannys in my 85 camaro an my old K5 that ll beef one up for me, an I have no problem moving the crossmember back, just want some feedback from you guys!!! Thanks in advance
