I'm a ways away in NY, but I may know of a solid long bed step..... It's on a complete 58 GMC pickup though, the guy probably wouldn't want to sell just the bed. The fenders, box and gate are pretty nice from what I remember, might not have a floor though. Here is a pic of the truck:

thanks for the reply.......if you could please find out if he'd seperate, I'd appreciate it. The box floor is not a big issue really. mapquest shows you're within 6 hours so not too bad of a drive really. The ultimate thing would be to find someone close by that would want the fleetside and then do a quick swap before i bring it home (picking up truck in Virginia)
