Moving motor perches

What problems will I have if I move the motor mount perches back to the second holes? Can you still use an HEI without problems with the firewall? Will the trans mount move enough for an turbo 400? I know I will have to get a different driveshaft. I am trying to remove weight from the front end for performance.

you might have to drill new holes for the tranny cross member, run new pipes, or have your old ones reworked a bit, relocate shifter linkage a tad... HEI will fit, but it'll be tight (assuming small block, big block might not have the room needed for HEI)

My Suburban has th I-6 setup that uses the back holes, It had a small block/3speed in it though, I am planning on putting it back the same way so I can keep my driveshaft, do you think there will be room for the HEI

And Edelbrock elite tall vale covers won't fit either. If you have a valve girdle or extreme high lift cam and need tall, try Moroso. They fit but just barely.
