need some opinions.
 

Hey everyone, I am looking at a 03 z71 ext.cab. The problem I have is it is at a repo lot. They let me start it and move it about 10 feet forward and back. It seems to be in good shape,No rust things like that. It has 123k miles on it. I am thinking about bidding 5,000.00 on it. ADVICE......

Sounds kind of dicey to me. Can you have a mechanic look at it? 123k isn't too bad for these motors, but still - can you do one of those searches on it, what's it called, carfax? to see the history? A lot of people are getting vehicles repo'd these days, and many of them are responsible people that took care of their cars, just got sucked down witht the economy, especially in Michigan. If I knew it's history I would feel more comfortable.
