Re: fuel pump
I have a mallory 250 with return style regulator a highend comp filter with new elements and all the lines to plumb it all for 350.00 The only reason I'm changing is to go to a lighter setup.

Re: fuel pump
I've had good success with Aeromotive. I use the 700hp EFI pump and pre & post filters. I've been using it for 3 years now. A friend had a Holley pump and he burned two of them up, he then went to the Aeromotive A1000 and hasn't had a problem.

Re: fuel pump
If you can afford it, I'd recommend a Magnafuel Prostar 500. I run one on my truck, and I don't see me exceeding the capabilities of this pump anytime soon. Another good thing about them is that Magnafuel rates them for street use.
The pump, reg., filter, and line setup that Kevin has would be good, as well, especially at that price. A friend of mine ran a Mallory 250 several years ago and never had a minute's problem with it. He was feeding a 575 hp bbc plus spray with it. |
Re: fuel pump
OK I'm gonna ask the stupid question.... looking at the motor listed in your signature I'm going to suspect you don't go to the track very often,, and don't race in any series (heads-up, bracket or whatever) but maybe I'm missing something? And,,, if that's right, a high output mechanical / stock pump is pretty reliable and fuels 400HP quite easily. If you just 'must' have an electric,, I run Mallory pumps, ran a little 140 on the truck for 11 years now with a deadhead regulator, and used another 140 for a 225HP plate nitrous kit long ago. They are reliable and reasonable,, as is the low end Holleys.
Right now I'm feeding 800HP gas motor with a Mallory 250 alcohol pump and data logging shows it's working just fine.. If I were to replace it,, (like nxtruck and others said,, Mallory is working perfectly so I don't know why I'd change) but oif I did,, Aeromotive or Magnafuel are both VERY fine systems and will feed 1000HP without breaking a sweat. |
Re: fuel pump
i actually go to the track quiet often lol i help a guy at the track with a rail car. but what does that have to do with my motor? and the reason i want to run an electric fuel pump is because i have about 550 horse and i am going to be spraying. but thanks for the help guys!

Re: fuel pump
I will do it shipped if you want it. This stuff is still on my truck so I will have to go to my buddies house and pull it all. It all works great. I'm just trying to lose a few pounds.

Re: fuel pump

Re: fuel pump
10/4 the lines alone would cost more that my asking price with all the fittings and stuff.
