Tailgate questions. 71 on a 68?
 

found a good deal on some 71 fleetside tailgates(2). Will they fit on a '68 fleetside? Also will most other parts fit on my 68? He has gas tanks, roll pans for rear and a few other pieces Im not sure of for sale. Any pieces for a '71 you guys need, let me know and I'll scope em out. Later, Neil in Alabama

Nope won't work especially if they are nice tailgates cheap. Better put me in touch with this guy. JK...:) yes it will fit

well far as i know the tailgates are the same for all six years

on GMC gates, the 67 and 68 has a smaller lettering, but otherwise, they will all interchainge.
The 68 - 71, everything from the cab/doors on back will swap out.
The fenders and hood will only swap if you plan on swapping the entire front end.

well the fellow says he has several parts for sale. I will check it all out and take some pics for you guys if he has alot of extra stuff like he says!! I just want to go for the tailgate and roll pan for the rear. I will keep you guys posted.. Neil in Alabama
