original 57-60 hubcaps with modern wheels?
 

I am wanting to do a build on a 60, where I do the whole disc brake /ps /5 lug conversion on. the rear I have ( off a 81 sub ) is a posi, so I want to use that too.
I would like to retain the 1957-1960 clip style hubcaps, and I am wondering if anyone has seen , or converted these caps to modern wheels.

There was a guy with a TF panel maybe an ambulance that had some 20' smooth wheels that he made the old caps work on. pretty old post but if I remember right he used longer studs, and had an open lug nut holding the wheel and then another nut to hold a clip for cap.

thanks for the link, I had seen a pic of that somewhere too!
that might look 90% original with some 15's or 16's and a deeper wheel.
