will a 14 bolt be too wide in a 69 k10?

welcome to the board.. a lot of guys have done that swap.. i'm a 1/2 ton guy though...

As long as your leaf perches are the same then it should bolt right in, or you can weld new one's. I actually put a 12bolt from a 2WD into my K-10 which was a little wider, it looks better with matching axle widths anyways (K-10's always had a slightly narrower rear than front axle)

What is the 14 bolt out of. 3/4 ton or 1 ton.

I put a 14 bolt full floater from a 1978 3/4 ton in my K5. Had to move the spring pads and change the shock mount location. Also need to get a conversion u-joint.

No need to PM, the info's all out here in the threads... Search and ye will find.

a single rear wheel, 1 ton 14B is a bolt in for our leaf sprung (rear) trucks.

Conversion ujoint to use your existing driveshaft:

Dana Spicer part number is 5-460X 1310 - 1350

thanks guys. the axle is out of a 3/4 ton but i never even gave a thought of the u-joint.

You will need to move the spring pads in about 2" each side then.
