14 bolt rear
will a 14 bolt be too wide in a 69 k10?

Re: 14 bolt rear
welcome to the board.. a lot of guys have done that swap.. i'm a 1/2 ton guy though...
As long as your leaf perches are the same then it should bolt right in, or you can weld new one's. I actually put a 12bolt from a 2WD into my K-10 which was a little wider, it looks better with matching axle widths anyways (K-10's always had a slightly narrower rear than front axle) PM grendel, vtblazer or Mudder for specifics on that swap |
Re: 14 bolt rear
What is the 14 bolt out of. 3/4 ton or 1 ton.
I put a 14 bolt full floater from a 1978 3/4 ton in my K5. Had to move the spring pads and change the shock mount location. Also need to get a conversion u-joint. |
Re: 14 bolt rear
No need to PM, the info's all out here in the threads... Search and ye will find.
a single rear wheel, 1 ton 14B is a bolt in for our leaf sprung (rear) trucks. |
