Wheel Stud ??

I was looking for wheel studs and found some made by Moroso at JEGS. The was a note saying not to use wheel spacers. I contacted Moroso Tech Line and they suggested wheel studs for 4X4 applications. I thought wheel studs were wheel studs.

So, where would I find a listing for wheel studs for 4X4?

I take it that you are looking for longer studs, because you intend to use them with spacers? If so how thick? Front? rear?

I don't know why they would tell you to look for 4x4 studs? Heck with Chevys the studs in a 4x4 are smaller than a 2 wheel drive truck....at least on the "square" body trucks where they are 6-lug and 7/16" diameter...but there could be differences in the diameter and length of the knurled area too.

You are probably better off going to your local NAPA and "matching" up you old ones to something longer, reguardless of it's actual application.....all of this of course depends upon your "spacer" thickness and intended use.

You may be better off with "adapter" type spacers that bolt to your original studs......

Re: Wheel Stud ??

Yea longer studs. I have a 6 lug (7/16) 2 Wheel. I chave already match the original. Moroso part was 1" longer and I wanted to use 1" spacers.

I looked at adapter type spacers. EXPENSIVE! Plus I could not find the size I wanted.

I am trying to match the track width of the rear to the front. I guess I will look at rims with less back spacing. I don't rotate tires anyway.
