09 Silverado Side molding

Does anyone know if this molding is glued on? I'm thinking about removing the emblems and this molding to give the truck a cleaner look. Its a black ext cab 09 silverado if it makes a difference. Thanks

Yeah, it is just stuck on with double sided tape. If you want to remove it just squirt some Goo Gone or Goof Off on top of the molding and let sink in behind the molding for a few minutes and it will peel right off. Then clean up any leftover sticky spots with Goo Gone or Goof Off as well. The warmer it is outside the easier the molding will peel off.

You can also use a heat gun to warm them up. Not a hair blower. To get the tape off it's a pain in the a**. I use a eraser wheel that you put on a drill. Get it at a Auto Paint Supply store. Then you might have to buff it out. Depends on how aggressive you are. Have fun.
