removing gas door on 08 sierra
 

how in the heck do you get the "bolts" that hold the gas door off ????? do they need to be drilled out ? want to put on a chrome door. the instructions say us a t-30 torx , but they are just round holes in the end of the "bolts".

I believe the 08/new body style fuel door/ hinge is held on with rivets(installed prior to painting) you may want to make sure your custom fuel door is correct for your truck (the 99-07 fuel door is held on with the torx fasteners).

it looks to be the right door. but i will take a really close look at it before i start drillin ! thanks

Not much info to be found on the fuel door in the service manual either other than this.

be nice if they told ya in the instructions that the newer ones have rivets. i was already having a bad day and then got frustrated because i couldnt get a simple job done ! and now i actually got sick last night. :waah:
